Excursion by train and boat
Our full day excursion to discover the beautiful landscape in the Gallura region. Departure from Palau onboard the Green Train or ‘trenino verde’, heading towards Tempio Pausania. The trip includes a guided tour of the ‘Nuraghe Majore’, which is a nuragic site of archaeological interest. A tasting of typical Sardinian products: a selection of cheese, salami and local savory pies, then cakes, wine and digestifs. After which the trip continues with a visit to the ‘Millennial Wild Olive Trees’, one of the oldest olive groves in Europe, the trees date back 4000 years and have become a national heritage monument. Next, we board a "Mississippi style" boat for a ride on Lake ‘Liscia’. Then we head back to Palau aboard the ‘Green Train’ or ‘Trenino Verde’ as it is locally known. Return Journey scheduled for 6:00 pm.
